Cinema has its own language, says Manoj Shripati Jha

Better known for his documentary and ad films Manoj Shripati has entered Bhojpuri film industry and Maithili films tooo. His 25 minutes documentary “Rakt Tilak” was in news for its theme of animal sacrifice. Manoj Shripati says the film depicts the bad effects of animal sacrifice on the young minds. He further reveals that none of the artists of that film had ever faced a camera and their performance in the film has came out very natural. He has been praised and criticised both for the film and says he has learnt many things in the process.

Recently a Bhojpuri film “Pyar Bina Chain Kaha Re” starring Pawan Singh directed by Manoj Shripati Jha has come out as a super hit and Manoj is very busy nowadays with coming films “Chunnu Babu Singapuri”, “Kotha” and a Maithili film. Explaining his entry to Bhojpuri and Maithili films, Manoj said that cinema has its own language and it is we who divide it into this language or that language film. Manoj feels that Bhojpuri and Maithili has many opportunities to do something new and he is also contemplating making films on the stories by Nagarjuna and Phanishwar Nath Renu. These stories are rural based and Manoj Shripati feels he can properly absorb the situation for filming.
