Manoj Tiwari happens to be the first Bhojpuri star whom a famous filmmaker Prakash Jha interviewed himself as a journalist for his talk show “Dil Ki Baat, Prakash Ke Sath” to be shown on the “Maurya TV”. A grand set was erected for this interview at a studio in Andheri, Mumbai with half a dozen cameras and spotlights. Made on the lines of “Coffee with Karan” Prakash Jha asked Manoj Tiwari for his views on changing Bihar, Bigg Boss, present scenario of Bhojpuri cinema, politics, and villages too. It was a dream like situation for Manoj Tiwari to be interviewed by Prakash Jha, the producer and director of films like “Gangajal, Rajneeti, Apaharan. Manoj Tiwari later told that he had given interviews to many journalists but was surprised to know that Prakash Jha wants to interview him and it was a great event for him.
Mega star of Bhojpuri cinema was always in the news in year 2010. He collected the maximum headlines amongst Bhojpuri stars. He was kidnapped by Naxals, returned to silver screen after a gap of two years with his “Bhojpuriya Don”, got acclaims for his anchoring of “Sur Sangram-2”, left Samajvadi party of Mulayam Singh to stay with Amar Singh, entered “Bigg Boss season 4”, was evicted from there, etc etc and everytime he was in the news. “Bhojpuria Don” became hit and was sent to international film festival. Manoj Tiwari also remained in the news for his social activism and for his support to Bhojpuri language and culture. Even his domestic strife too brought him in the news.
