Yesterday at a glittering ceremony organized at Rang Sharda Auditorium 1st Mastraj Bhojpuri City Cine Awards were given. Manoj Tiwari was honored as the Star of the decade while Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua was declared Best Actor for his role in “Ranbhumi” and Rinku Ghosh the Best Actress for her role in “Balidaan”. Pawan Singh and Pakhi Hegde were declared the Popular Actor and Actress. Film Ranbhumi was declared as the Best film whereas Devra Bada Satavela was awarded Popular film.
The award was organised by the Bhojpuri City magazine and presented by Raj Oil Mills. Parliamentarian Sanjay Nirupam, Pankaj Tiwari of Mahuaa TV, Kunjesh Parihar of Yashobhumi and others along with notable personalities from Bhojpuri film industry were present on the occasion.
Those awarded include Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua (Best Actor for Ranbhumi), Rinku Ghosh (Best Actress for Balidan), Ranbhumi produced by Abhay Sinha (Best Film), Anil Ajitabh (Best Director as well as Best Script writer for Ranbhumi), Pappu Khanna (Best choreographer for Ranbhumi), Damodar Naidu (Best Cinematographer for Ranbhumi), Sambhawna Seth and Seema Singh (jointly the Best Dancer), Awadhesh Mishra (Best Villain), Manoj Tiger (Best Comedian). Ramakant Prasad (Best newcomer Director for Daag), Hitendra Singh (Best Newcomer Actor), Akshara Singh (Best newcomer Actress), Madhukar Anand (Best Music Director for Devra Bada Satavela), Pappu Ojha (Best Lyricist), Udit Narayan (Best Male Singer), Indu Sonali (Best Female Singer), Masood Patel (Best Story writer), Surendra Mishra (Best Dialogue Writer),
Viraj Bhatta (Best Co-actor), Gunjan Pant (Best Co-actress), Rishabh Raj (Best Child Artist), and Late Lallan Singh (Best Sound recordist).
In the popular category those selected on the basis of a survey done by Yashobhumi were Pawan Singh (Popular Actor), Pakhi Hegde (Popular Actress), Rajkumar R. Pandey (Popular Director) and Devra Bada Satavela (Popular Film).
Special honors were given to producer Abhay Sinha, singer Malini Awasthi, and the Great Personalities honor were given to Late Vishwanath Prasad Shahabadi, late Ramayan Tiwari, Super Star Amitabh Bachchan, Vandani Mishra, late Anjan, late Chitragupta, late Rammurti Chaturvedi, Dev Malhotra, Deepa Narayan, Arti Bhattacharya, Brijesh Tripathi, Vinay Bihari, Samarjeet and late Prashant Ujjawal among others.
