Kahin, kaa haal ba ?
The festival of lights - Diwali 2007 falls on Nov 9th this year. This day is also going to be significant for BANA as we will release the first edition of our Bhojpuri newsletter in bilingual format (Bhojpuri and English).
Diwali ke subh avsar par hamnike Bhojpuri e-patrika nikaalab ja. Agar kehu ke pass, kauno sujhaw ba, ta kripaya email karin. North America aur Bhojpuri parivaar khatir ee bahut mahatvapurna uplabdhi hoyi. We begin our journey with a small step.
1. Articles, poems, write-ups are invited from bhojpuri members in Bhojpuri and English focusing bhojpuri-centric themes, events, news, achievements of bhojpuri members, global developments in Bhojpuri, challenges in learning bhojpuri, history of bhojpuri diaspora, bhojpuri music, culture, songs, bhojpuri films, biographies of bhojpuri personalities etc.
Bhojpuri articles must be in Unicode format. You may use any of the tools below.

c. Hindi Keyboard
d. Baraha Software
2. Congratulatory messages, birthdays, marriage events and other relevant updates of Bhojpuriya members will also be accepted for the publication. International authors will be given due credit for their writings. (No article should exceed more than one page). All articles should acknowledge the source or provide suitable references.
3. A member directory is being compiled and a select list will be included in the newsletter. Write-ups on your native place, ancestral place of bhojpuri origin, events or lifestyle are welcome from Bhojpuri diaspora ( UP/Bihar/Jharkhand/Mauritius, Nepal, Fiji, Trinidad, Surinam, Guyana, Uganda, USA, UK, Canada, Singapore etc)
4. Advertisements will also be accepted in this newsletter. If anyone is interested in placing their ads and pricing, please email BANAbhojpuri@gmail.com
5. Children and teenagers are eligible to enter a Bhojpuri Poster Talent Contest. A digital version of the photograph/painting/drawing may be submitted with a theme / title written in Bhojpuri.
6. All bhojpuriyas are eligible to submit photographs for BANA's "Bhojpuri eCulture" photo contest. The best picks depicting bhojpuri culture/place/festival/lifestyle will be included in the newsletter. High resolution photos are recommended.
7. Have an interesting thing you want to share about Bhojpuri ? A new titbit, unknown bhojpuri song, forgotten heroes, a new rising bhojpuri star, ancient bhojpuri place or an exciting bhojpuri fact...Email us for the "Discover Bhojpuri" section of the newsletter
8. Do you want to offer an easy way to learn or speak Bhojpuri ? Share with us for the "Learn N Speak Bhojpuri" section. Are you an IT wizard and want to digitize Bhojpuri ? Let us know how. In short, anything related to Bhojpuri of good quality and content will most likely be included.
9. Do you run a bhojpuri website, society, group or show ? Are you a leader ? Do you have a vision ? Share it with us. We will include you with your photo in Bhojpuri "Who's who ?"
10. Do you like to voice out your opinions? Ever felt Bhojpuri was disgraced and not respected ? Do you need a platform to criticize and condemn anti-bhojpuri sentiments ? This is your chance. Speak out for Bhojpuri in the "Critics Corner".

The nursery rhymes-Ghughuwa mana...remind one of an era when old grandmother used to sing for the child at bed time. Please do give more of such forgotten poems. Your effort is worth appreciation.

महोदय, १९६७ में डा॰ क्रिश्चियन बर्नार्ड पहिला हार्ट ट्रान्सप्लाण्ट कइलन जे चिकित्सा शास्त्र में मील के पत्थर रहुवे. अपना देश में भी डा॰ वेणुगोपाल हृदय प्रत्यारोपण कइलन. आजुकाल्ह ऊ दिल्ली एम्स के निदेशक हवन. लेकिन मन्त्री डा॰ रामदास उनुका से ओही तरह गुस्साइल बाड़न जइसे पहिला किलास के लइका दोस्तवन से कुट्टी कर लेला. असर संस्थान के कामकाज पर पड़ेला आ डागदरी पढ़ेवालन पर पड़ेला, कईबार कोर्ट बीच बचाव कइले बा.
मंत्रीजी के चाहत रहुवे कि देश में स्वास्थ्य सेवा के विकास करतन. कम से कम अइसन डागदर लोग के प्रोत्साहन देतन जे हिप्पोक्रेटिक सौगन्ध के मान राखत मरीज लोग के सेवा करऽता. अईसनहीं डागदर बा लोग डा॰मण्डल, आ डा॰रथ जे कांसीनगर उड़ीसा में अथक मेहनत कर रहल बा लोग.

Khiladi sab ke chayan , parshiksan, khan paan me koi rajniti na hoye chahi. Khali ek bhavna hoye chahi, des ke naam ujagar kareke.
Khel mantralay chahe kendra chae rajya ke hoye khel a khiladi ke subidhe ke dhan rakhe ihe apeksa karal ja sakela.Dekhe me ayela ki baki des apan subidha ke tahat khel ke niyam badal dela.Jaise haki me astro turf a pahile kabaddi asiai khel me jaroor saamil kail gail rahe pher hata diyal gail.
Aksar dekhal gail bate ki ek gol kare ke baad team ke inaam ke taur pe jagir likh diyal jala, pher team ek ke baad ek hare lagela. Aise na hoye chahin.

चन्द्रगुप्त द्वितीय का शासनमें चीनी यातरी फाइहन आइल रहुवन. ऊ बिहार के समृद्धि के बारे मे बहुत तारीफ कईले बाड़न. अगर आजु के बिहार में ऊ अईतन तऽ आपन माथा पीट लेतन.
शायद लिखतन भागलपुर के नाथनगर के पुलिसिया जुल्मके बारे में. एगो बड़ अधिकारी तऽ एकरा के गुनाह माने से इन्कार कइलन आ कहलन कि ऊ जमादार तऽ मुजरिम के गुस्सैल भीड़ से बचाये खातिर फटफटया से चेन से बन्ह के ले हात रहल हऽ. लेकिन मीडिया के आईना तऽ कुछ आउर कहत बा. ऊ अधिकारी के इ ना लउकल कि जमादार साहब के टोपी अउर जूता नदारद ना रहेला. का बिहार पुलिस में जूता आउर हेलमेट ना दिहल जाला ?
दूसर बात फाहियन इहो लिखतन कि बिहार आईएश वर्ग रंगीन कपड़ल पहिनल ज्यादा पसन्द करेला जब तक कि माननीय न्यायालय ई बाति पर जुरमाना ना क५लसि. झारखण्ड में तऽ हद हो गईल. बड़ बर्ग के अफसर नेताजी के गोड़ लगलन लोग.
आउर फाइहन का कहिहहन ? इहे कि बक्सर मे पुलिस वर्ग मनोरंजन खातिर बार गर्ल से नचवा के उत्तम उदाहरण भेंट कईलसि.
