Bajarang film’s music gave popularity to Om Jha

Everyone loves the melody of Bhojpuri music and songs and it wont be an exaggeration to say that Bhojpuri is more recognized for its music than anything else. And when the music of film ‘Bajrang’ proved hit it gave popularity to music director Om Jha. Now everyone in the industry is talking about his music. Recently during a meeting with Om Jha had the opportunity to intervies him. Presented here is the result of that interview in brief.

Om Jha does not recognize any one as his ‘guru’ in the industry. He claimed to have started alone and friends joining him during the journey. On coming to Mumbai the first thing Om Jha did was to learn music. His first album had songs by many known singers like Kumar Shanu, Shan, Jasvindar Narula, Anuradha Paudwal etc. but unfortunately the album was never released.

Then he did Hindi album of Kalpana and Babul Supriyo. Om Jha entered Bhojpuri cine industry with music of “Seeta” starring Krishna Abhishek and Rani Chaterjee. ‘Chana Jor Garam’ song in the film became popular. He has given music in Ghar Ka Chirag, Gauri Shankar, Jhumki, Ham Hai Dharam Yoddha, Bajrang, Lal Dupattewali, and Kshatriya etc. Om has also done many Bhakti Albums.

Om Jha was awarded with Best Music Director by Reliance Big TV and EEsha TV and Om thanks them a lot. He also feels obliged to producer JP Singh, director Nand Kishore, star Pawan Singh, and Pintu for giving him an opportunity to compose music for Bajrang. Ramesh Dubey who played the role of Bulli Pandey in the film also helped him with his suggestions.
