There has been no tradition in cinema industry to honor the parents for the performances of their offsprings. But for the first time parents of Seema Singh, Dancing Queen of Bhojpuri cinema, were honored on the sets of dance reality show “Nach Nachaiya…”. Father Raj Kumar Singh and mother Narmada Singh were honored last week. Raj Kumar Singh works with the prinitng section of Times of Times of India, whereas mothe is a simple housewife. The parents were proud for the successes achieved by their daughter on her own.
These days Seema Singh is carving out a new identity for herself through the dance reality show ‘Nach Nachaiya Dhoom Machaiya’ shown on the Bhojouri channel Mahuaa TV. She says that she was astonished when she her parents on the stage and it was a real surprize for her. She performed on the sets in front of her parents and the viewers appreciated it with a thunderous applause. Seema has done item numbers in more than a hundred Bhojpuri films and is wanted by all the producers and directors. And the honor to her parents was indirectly her own honor !
