Many criminals are using their muscle power and ill-gotten money power to fight elections and become a white collared criminal and get police protections instead of police chasing them.
Two such criminals have filed their nominations in Ballia district too. There may be many more in whle of the state. Jalesar is accused of a bank robbery and filed his nomination under police custody for BDC member from ward n0.5. Ajay Kanu is accused of several crimes and is presently in Varanasi jail. Ajay too has filed his nominations from ward no. 41 for BDC membership.
