After the parallel embankment to Saran embankment was breached on Sunday morning Gandak river water is flooding newer areas. It has enundated Semaria, Rupan Chapra, Mirjapur, Sonbarsa, and Salona panchayats. It has now reached the block heqdquartes of Barauli. Water is flowing over the Siwan Sarfara road.
Ghaghra has also flooded many villages in Sitabdiyara. Administration is busy containing the damage and providing relief to the affected people.
